Make It Tenterfield

Happy Autumn to all! and happy we are at Make It Tenterfield as we are well settled into our new premises at 340 Rouse Street diagonally opposite Thrifty-Link Hardware.

It’s hard to believe Make It was 3 years in our previous upstairs premises above Mitre 10.  Heartfelt thanks are extended to our Landlord Brian Smith for giving Make It Tenterfield the opportunity to be created and evolve to the organisation we are today.  Our new ground floor premises at 340 Rouse have accommodated us superbly with window frontage enabling passers by to really see what we’re all about and encourage all to come inside to explore.  Patrons have commented items displayed in the retail art space are now more prominent in the new premises and reveals items never seen before in Make It’s previous premises.

Our workshop space behind the front retail art display has already been well utilised with workshops held over the school holidays.  There’s many more workshops planned with details and dates being posted on our website when they’re finalised.

Make It Tenterfield’s workshop space is not only exclusive for Make It Tenterfield but is available for hire to any other crafters or hobbyists wanting to conduct their own workshop.  Make It Tenterfield often conduct off-site workshops and are more than happy to collaborate with all other crafters and hobbyists and share talents and skills.

What is planned at Make It this Autumn?

With thanks to grant funds received last year from the Foundation for Rural Regional Renewal (FRRR) Strengthening Bushfire Affected Rural Communities, our Tenterfield Sculpture Walk from Millbrook Park through to the Skate Park is now complete!  The official launch of the Walk will be held at 11am on the 17th March.  Everyone is welcome to attend and celebrate this mammoth achievement.

With two huge events planned for Tenterfield this Autumn, Make It will be hosting workshops on both weekends of Oracles of the Bush (31st March-3rd April) and the Tenterfield Autumn Festival (15th-18th April).  All details and dates for these workshops will be posted on our website as they are finalised, so keep checking!
